Tinder launches new Share My Date feature for safe dating

Tinder, the leading dating app, has announced the upcoming launch of a new feature called “Share My Date.” The tool will allow users to share their appointment details with friends and family through the app. The function was born from the observation that many young people under 30 are already used to discussing aspects of their meetings with their group of friends. An internal survey of the app revealed that 18% of users even share this information with their mothers.

Melissa Hobley, Chief Marketing Officer of Tinder, highlighted that the new feature was developed to make the dating experience not only more fun but also safe and respectful for all users. “Share My Date” facilitates sharing plans, allowing users to focus on the more enjoyable aspects of preparing for a date, such as choosing clothing and preparing conversation topics.

The feature allows you to share details such as location, date, time and a photo of the appointment attendee via a simple link. Users can decide who to share this information with and have the ability to create an unlimited number of appointments, which can be scheduled up to 30 days before the event. Furthermore, details can be updated in case of last-minute changes. “Share My Date” will be made available in the coming months in a number of countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Mexico, Netherlands , Italy, Korea, Vietnam and Thailand.
