In Croatia and Slovenia, there is a lot of knowledge, innovative people and companies that apply new technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), in which cooperation between the two countries can bring greater competitiveness to companies, it was pointed out in Infobip on Friday. at the Croatian-Slovenian conference on the application of AI in business.
The conference was organized by Infobip, the Slovenian-Croatian business club SLO CRO and the Slovenian embassy in Zagreb, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experience in the application of AI in companies in order to do business with it more successfully. It gathered around a hundred participants from both countries, mostly representatives of companies and associations dealing with AI.
“We are small countries and it is good to work together on solutions for AI and others. We can also become the center of AI for the region,” said Aleksandar Raić from Infobip.
About working with AI, he said that in Infobip, as in many other large companies in the world, it is moreć they use a lot, adding that they have more About 20 customers of their AI solutions in the world and a hundred projects they are working on.

For now, he added, it is mostly applied in customer services (call centers), and Infobip also has so-called knowledge management for AI, so that employees can ask the system everything they are interested in or have trouble with applying AI in business.
President of the club SLO CRO Saša Muminović he emphasized that now, unlike before, there is almost no one who does not wonder and does not think about the application of AI in business and what it brings, so he thinks that it is possible and that he will go to someone. im elections to be lists behind which there is an AI solution.
The Slovenian ambassador in Zagreb, Gašpar Dovžan, said that AI in Slovenia is also prominent in the country’s development strategy, that the transfer of knowledge is also very important, and from that point of view, he assessed the cooperation between Croatia and Slovenia as important.
“It is difficult to combine AI with existing work infrastructures, there may be resistance from employees, and it is expensive to introduce it in small and medium-sized companies. The lack of experts is also a challenge, but then education, preparation and adaptation are important. the introduction of AI in companies because it brings benefits and is in line with world trends,” Dovzcaron said.
That AI is a “challenging game”, but also a great opportunity for smaller markets like Croatia and Slovenia if they work together, is also the opinion of State Secretary in the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development Hrvoje Bujanovic, who emphasized that it is important to understand that AI is also a transformative technology that, with growing application, brings evolution in business and life.
“This will start a new era of automation and competitiveness of companies, but we need to invest a lot in AI. In our smart specialization strategy, AI is marked as an important technology. There is a lot of discussion about this at the EU and world level, and it would be good to try to soften the regulation, and public policies should focus more on responsibility and safety in use, and that there be some form of state support,” he said.
