The new airport will also be among the largest in the world: it will cover an enormous area of 70 square kilometers, five times the size of the current giant Dubai airport. All the activities of the existing international airport will be transferred to the new port in the coming years.
The airport will contain 400 aircraft gates and include five parallel runways. The most innovative aviation technologies in the world will be installed in the field and will be used for the first time in the new field. The port will be located in the south of Dubai, around which a whole city will be built that will include apartments, hotels, convention centers and commerce. Construction works are expected to be completed in 2030.
