Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, assigned Counselor Jamal Rushdie to assume the duties of the official spokesman for the Secretary-General, as of May 29.
It should be noted that Counselor Rushdie is an Egyptian diplomat seconded to the office of the Secretary-General of the League responsible for following up on various political files, and he previously worked in several diplomatic positions in the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
