Trump threatens tariffs against Mexico and Canada

The elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, in a post on the Truth social network, warned that after taking office, he will impose high tariffs on goods imported from Canada and Mexico.

“On January 20, among my first executive orders, I will also sign a document that will impose a 25 percent tariff on all goods entering the United States from Mexico and Canada,” Trump wrote.

According to him, this decree will remain in force until neighboring countries stop “the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs, primarily fentanyl, into the United States.”
