An 18-year-old boy from the Far East was found dead in a serious car accident after participating in a deadly viral challenge. The incident took place in the city of Tangerang, Java Island, Indonesia, where the victim took part in the “Death Angel Challenge” in Tiktok – in which teenagers jump in front of trucks on main roads in order to stop them.
In the video of the incident, the victim can be seen jumping in front of the truck along with two of his friends, who managed to survive the challenge unscathed. In contrast, the boy was hit by the vehicle with great force and then run over. His death was determined at the scene and the driver was questioned by police.

A similar incident occurred in the city of Bandung, West Java, where a 14-year-old boy was also run over by a truck. Although the boy survived the incident, he was taken to a local hospital suffering from crises in his skull and teeth. The driver, meanwhile, is wanted by police on suspicion of involvement in a hit-and-run accident as he fled the scene.
Web surfers noted that this is not the first time that teenagers have implemented the dangerous challenge in recent years. “You can easily find videos of children and teenagers jumping in front of trucks if you look for the challenge in the search engines of social networks,” noted one of the surfers. “Hopefully it will not spur anyone to do it and everyone will learn from the mistakes of others.”
Another surfer wrote that the challenge is a chilling reminder of the dangers lurking for children and teens on social media. As for the 18-year-old from Tangerang, he wrote: “His parents raised him with love with great hope for their own good future. Instead of acting wisely, he chose to be dragged after his friends and risked his life for online content. Sad.”
