The Government PA announced the formation of the Gaza Strip Committee

The Prime Minister of the Palestinian Administration Muhammad Mustafa said that the Palestinian government decided to form a working committee for managing the Gaza sector. According to him, this step confirms the unity of the Palestinian territories, Maan reports.

“The government, acting at the direction of President Mahmoud Abbas and in coordination with our brothers, primarily in Egypt, is working to increase the supply of humanitarian aid, clearing roads and ruins, and ensuring the hassle of those whose houses are destroyed,” he said.

He also noted that the “Operational Center for Emergency Acts in the Southern Territories” created by the Energy, Water supply, sewage, education, interacting with the UN and other partners.

The question of who will belong to the power in the Gaza sector should be determined during the second stage of the implementation of the agreement between Israel and Hamas. Both Israeli government and the US administration say that this group cannot maintain control over the enclave.
