Dacic and Vulin spoke separately with the Chinese ambassador

The President of the Assembly of Serbia Ivica Dacic and the Ambassador of China in Belgrade Chen Bo discussed bilateral relations and strategic cooperation today.

Ambassador Chen Bo said that bilateral relations are “at a historic high” and that the Chinese side evaluates them as “all-time relations of steely friendship”, announced the Serbian Parliament.

She said that there are no open issues in political relations and that the relations between the two countries are characterized by a high degree of mutual trust and mutual support in the most important issues, it is reported.

Dacic said that, in addition to intensive political dialogue at all levels, Serbia is also very satisfied with the level of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, the announcement reads.

He expressed the hope that the new convocation of the parliament, which will be constituted on August 1, will continue to work in the same spirit as the previous one, in which the parliamentary group of friendship with China had 122 deputies, it added.

Today, Chen Bo also met with the Minister of the Interior of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, and handed him a letter from the Minister of Public Security of China, Wang Xiaohong, the Ministry of the Interior announced.

The letter, as stated, confirms the excellent cooperation between the two countries in the field of internal affairs, especially cooperation in the field of security projects of the “Belt and Road” initiative in Serbia and support within international organizations, primarily Interpol.

Wang also stated in the letter that the position of the Chinese side is consistent regarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia when it comes to the issue of Kosovo, and that Beijing will continue to provide firm support to Serbia, it added.

Vulin said that the friendship between Serbia and China “is made of steel, just like the personal friendship of the two presidents, Aleksandar Vučić and Xi Jinping”, it is reported.
