An 82-year-old driver collided with a cyclist in Potsdam on Monday afternoon after initial findings indicated he had lost consciousness. The police announced this. Accordingly, the man initially ran into oncoming traffic on Bornstedter Strasse in the Brandenburg suburb. He then collided with a 72-year-old cyclist, a lamppost and a fence.
Rescue workers took the 82-year-old to the hospital. The cyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was medically examined at the scene of the accident. Transport to a clinic was not necessary. There was damage of around 30,000 euros. The police recorded the traffic accident.
