Iran confirmed the death of the head of the IRGC Navy, who was responsible for the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has officially confirmed the death of Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, commander of the IRGC naval forces. According to the statement, he died from his wounds.

On March 26, the IDF press service reported that the Israeli Air Force, acting on the precise guidance of AMAN and the Israeli Navy Intelligence Directorate, struck Bandar Abbas and eliminated Alireza Tangsiri, who had commanded the IRGC Navy for the past eight years.

“He was directly responsible for the terrorist activities of mining and blocking the Strait of Hormuz. This is a clear signal to all senior members of the Iranian terrorist organization IRGC, which governs Iran today: The IDF will hunt you down and eliminate you one by one. We continue to operate in Iran with all our might to achieve the goals of the war,” Defense Minister Israel Katz said.
