Report: As a result of the August 9 explosions, half of the air force of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was taken out of service

The massive explosions at the Saki Airfield on August 9 destroyed or disabled more than half of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s air force.

A high-ranking official from Europe’s political circles told Reuters news agency about it yesterday.

He said that after August 9, Russia will have serious difficulties in threatening the Black Sea cities of Ukraine, particularly Odesa, from the territory of the occupied Crimea.

According to that unnamed official, “by striking Russian military infrastructure in the rear, Ukraine achieves a ‘cumulative result’, as it not only weakens the supply of Russian units, but also has a heavy psychological effect on both soldiers and authorities.”

The term “anonymous source in official European circles” is usually used when referring to employees of the intelligence services of Western countries or other special structures.

Earlier, the British Ministry of Defense noted that the explosions near Novofiodorovka destroyed at least five Su-24 and three Su-30 bombers.
