The municipal state attorney’s office in Bjelovar, after an investigation, filed charges against a 56-year-old man whose dogs bit a 67-year-old woman to death on March 17, 2025, near Azma. As reported by the State Attorney’s Office (DORH), the indictment charges the 56-year-old with committing a criminal offense against public safety.
The indictment accuses the 56-year-old man of not keeping them in a fenced area as the owner of several mixed-breed dogs, as a result of which the dogs were unsupervised and attacked and repeatedly bit the 67-year-old woman on the road, causing her particularly severe physical injuries, as a result of which she later died in the hospital.
