Briefing at the Pentagon: “There is no better partner on the American team than Israel”

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth held a briefing at the Pentagon on the situation in the Middle East. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Cain also took part in it.

Hegseth called on the “new Iranian regime” to show prudence in making decisions, because otherwise bombs will fall on key infrastructure again. He also addressed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps: “We are watching you, we know where you are hiding what. While you are trying to restore what was destroyed, we are strengthening.”

According to him, the United States will not use even 10% of its naval power to ensure the blockade. He called attacks on merchant ships terrorism, noting that Iran cannot control the Strait of Hormuz – it does not have a fleet.

Kane emphasized that the United States is not blocking the strait, but the ports and coast of Iran, and the blockade is also carried out in Iranian territorial waters. According to him, 13 ships have been deployed since the beginning of the blockade.

The head of the US Central Command, Admiral Bradley Cooper, said US troops were using the ceasefire to resupply and learn tactical and technical lessons. He praised the allies’ efforts, saying there is no better partner on the American team than Israel.
