Trump is against extending the ceasefire with Iran

“I don’t want to extend the validity period of the cease-fire signed with Iran,” he said on CNBC television. “We don’t have that much time.”

Trump claimed that Washington now “has a favorable negotiating position and is able to make a very good deal.”

Trump also announced that the US will resume attacks against Iran if a deal is not signed soon.

“I expect that there will be bombings, because I think it is more correct to approach it that way. But we are ready to act. After all, the armed forces are enthusiastically waiting to go into action,” he said.

A day before a two-week ceasefire between Iran and the US expires, it remains unclear whether Washington and Tehran will hold talks in Islamabad to end the war. The American press writes that the US vice president will leave for Pakistan today.

The Iranian state TV reported that no delegation from Iran, including the technical team, has left for Islamabad so far.
