Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Nasser Kanani Chafi said that Tehran had received an official response from Washington on the nuclear deal and had begun to study it.
The answer was transmitted to Tehran through the EU coordinator on the evening of 24 August.
Chafee said his country would take several days to review the US proposals, after which the response would be passed on to the coordinator.
