White House special envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will travel to Pakistan for talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi this weekend, CNN reports, citing two US administration officials.
Vice President J.D. Vance is not currently scheduled to attend the talks, as Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf is also not participating.
At the same time, the Tasnim news agency, associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported that Abbas Araqchi’s visit to Islamabad was not related to negotiations with Washington.
