Lega, risk of expulsion for ‘default’ Erik Pretto

Matteo Salvini he had promised that he would take serious action against the defaulters. “Whoever doesn’t comply with the contributions is out”, he threatened during the last meeting with the parliamentary groups. And, after the deputy’s passage Laura Ravetto with Futuro Nazionale by Roberto Vannacci, the threat risks becoming real towards the colleague from Vicenza Erik Pretto.

A disciplinary process has been initiated for the deputy, with reporting to the disciplinary and guarantee board, which could lead to expulsion. In the letter sent, anticipated by the “Mattino di Padova”, Pretto is urged to pay the contribution due to the party, which is still outstanding, as a sign of “respect for the thousands of militants who work and invest time in the League”.

In fact, every elected Northern League member owes the party a monthly contribution which varies from just over a thousand euros to just under two thousand based on various factors. The parliamentarians pay to the national party, the regional councilors to the local secretariats. Pretto, according to what appears in Via Bellerio, has several outstanding dues and has therefore been urged to proceed with the settlement.

The defaulters are different – Ravetto was too – but so far the measure has only been initiated for Pretto. It doesn’t seem like a coincidence, since his name appeared in the press background of the last few days among the possible chosen ones leaving for National future. In reality, the deputy’s move to the party of Roberto Vannacci would have disappeared, according to AGI.

Among the outgoing Northern League members, the names that have circulated in recent days are those of Gianangelo Bof and Domenico Furgiuele (the latter was among the organizers of the press conference, never held, on remigration in the Chamber, together with Rossano Sasso and Emanuele Pozzolo, who later joined Vannacci). But at present there is no confirmation.

However, as regards the retreat with the elected Northern League members, called by Salvini to return to “teaming up” after the shock of Vannacci’s exit and the defeat in the referendum, a definitive date has not yet been set. We are thinking about some dates (22-23 or 29-30 June) for a meeting which, in the intentions of the organizers, should be held in Veneto, after the constituent assembly of Fnv (13-14 June), but by the end of next month.
