The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that after the telephone conversation with Netanyahu, Israeli troops will not enter Beirut.
“I had a very productive conversation with Prime Minister Netanyahu,” the US president said, adding: “I had a very good phone call with Hezbollah, and they agreed that all shootings will stop.”
Today, Iran’s semi-official Tasnim reported that because of Israel’s attacks on Lebanon, Iran’s negotiating team is suspending the exchange of messages with the US through intermediaries.
According to the agency, there will be no negotiations until Israel’s actions in Lebanon and Gaza are stopped.
