“This is not a new measure, this is the continuation of what we are doing, we are trying to provide our support to the diversification of the economy in Armenia and we are trying to help Armenian exporters to buy new markets. We are discussing this with the government through direct discussions, as well as with EU member states, to help producers and exporters find new markets,” he said.

Maragos mentioned that later today they will present a way to help export Armenian flowers to the European market, particularly to Latvia. He added that discussions are underway to export to the Netherlands as well.

“We already have a new support format, which we are trying to expand and introduce new measures to create new opportunities for producers and exporters. Discussions are underway at the level of the Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, we will try to help our partners to find, identify and find new environments, said the EU ambassador and added, “We are ready to increase our support to producers and exporters.”

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced during the phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, that the EU will provide more than 50 million euros of support to Armenia.
