“Azot” chemical plant targeted by Ukrainian drones

According to monitoring Telegram channels, the enterprise was under attack for several hours. Eyewitnesses reported explosions, thick smoke rising from the factory premises, the smell of ammonia in the air, and power outages.

Information was also received about the fire that broke out at the Novomoskovsky thermal power plant.

The governor of Tula region, Dmitry Milyaev, confirmed that one of Novomoskovskiy’s industrial enterprises and the power line were damaged as a result of the attack by UAVs.

“Azot” chemical plant is one of the largest producers of ammonia and nitrogen fertilizers in Russia.

It has been the target of Ukrainian attacks many times before.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that at least 47 drones were shot down in the sky of the city and region during the night.

Telegram channels also reported about an attack on Russian air defense positions in Kerch, Crimea.
