Germany will place the Hetz-3 battery at a former Nazi base 70 km from Dachau

The German Ministry of Defense announced the deployment of a second Hetz-3 missile defense battery produced by the Israeli Aviation Industry.

The first battery was located in Schönewald/Holzdorf near Berlin.

The new battery will be deployed at the Kaufbeuren base in Bavaria, southwest of Munich, 70 kilometers from Dachau.

The deployment of a second Hetz-3 battery will improve Germany’s ability to defend itself against ballistic missiles that Russia could launch and intercept them in space.

The Kaufybeuren base was built by the Nazi regime in 1935. Officially, it was a Luftwaffe training base, but in fact it served as a cover for Nazi intelligence activities.
