Serious accident near Slatina! Police: Five people were injured

– The investigation found that the 53-year-old driver of a private car with Croatian license plates, moving from the direction of Donji Meljani towards Bistrica, did not move in the middle of the marked traffic lane, but drove his vehicle over the broken center line into the traffic lane intended for the traffic of vehicles from the opposite direction – said the police.

They add that at that moment a lorry with Zagreb license plates, driven by a 60-year-old driver, was approaching from the opposite direction. and the left side of the passenger car collided with the left side of the truck.

– After the collision, the truck stopped on the road embankment, while the passenger car continued moving and collided with a passenger car with Zagreb license plates driven from the opposite direction by a 54-year-old driver. After stopping, the cars caught fire – the police announced.

They also add that in addition to the train, a 47-year-old female passenger and a child were in the car with our registration, and all of them suffered serious physical injuries. On the other hand, apart from the driver, there were a 58-year-old and a 46-year-old passenger in the truck with Zagreb license plates, and none of them were injured in the traffic accident.

– In a passenger car with Zagreb license plates, there were drivers; and the child, both of whom were seriously injured. The drivers were not tested for their alcohol concentration, while their blood and urine samples were taken for further examination – the police announced.

He also said that due to the incident, traffic was suspended from 16:00 to 18:40 and took detours. They also conclude that the police officers continue further criminal investigation.
