Autopsy ordered: German dies in ICE custody in the USA

Harlingen (USA) – A German man has died in custody of the US immigration authorities ICE. 85-year-old Adrian Andreas F. died in a clinic in Harlingen, Texas, where he had been treated since November. The authority announced this on Thursday (local time).

According to the authorities, F. was treated there for, among other things, dementia, high blood pressure, cognitive impairment and stomach ulcers. A doctor pronounced him dead on June 24th. The cause of death will now be clarified by an autopsy.

According to ICE, the man tried to enter the border crossing near Laredo (Texas) on August 28, 2025 USA to enter.
