Lebanon and Syria participated for the first time in a military conference between the United States and its regional allies

Representatives of the Lebanese and Syrian military commands took part for the first time in the Regional Strategic Partnership Dialogue meeting held by the US Central Command and American allies.

The meeting took place in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. It was attended by representatives of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and the internationally recognized government of Yemen.

The meeting took place against the backdrop of US-Iranian negotiations on the implementation of a memorandum of understanding, which is of great importance for regional security and the economy. “Leaders emphasized their commitment to free trade across the Strait of Hormuz,” CENTCOM said in a statement.
