Earthquake in Venezuela: students will resume classes starting Monday in unaffected areas

According to the new school calendar, the third and final period will end on July 17, and then move on to the last stages of the academic year which includes review and recovery, preparation and delivery of evaluation reports, balance, registrations and promotional events, to finally close on the 31st.

Nonetheless, Activities remain suspended in Caracas and several municipalities in the states of Miranda, Aragua, Falcón, Carabobo and La Guaira, the state hardest hit by the earthquakes.

“In these cases we will wait for the rescue work to be completed before determining the administrative procedures that must be completed to close the current year,” explained the ministry, which expressed its solidarity with the families of the victims.

The institution assured that, in the affected places, the priority “continues to be the comprehensive care of the communities, the socio-emotional support and the exhaustive review of the infrastructure.”
