The search for missing American helicopter crew member has been called off in the Arabian Sea.

The command of the US Fifth Fleet announced that it had stopped the search for a missing serviceman who was on board a helicopter that made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea on July 1.

“The active search for a sailor from Helicopter Squadron 5 based aboard the aircraft carrier George HW Bush has ceased. The search continued for more than 102 hours over an area of ​​14,000 square miles,” the statement said.

Three other crew members of the MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter were injured but were rescued. An investigation is underway. According to initial reports, the emergency was not caused by hostile actions.
