Threshold – The Czech Republic is allowed to extradite the convicted right-wing extremist Marla Svenja Liebich to Germany. The Higher Regional Court in Prague rejected the 55-year-old neo-Nazi’s complaints against extradition, a court spokeswoman said.

Senior public prosecutor Dennis Cernota from the Halle public prosecutor’s office confirmed the decision to BILD: “Now the LKA Saxony-Anhalt, together with their Czech colleagues, is organizing Liebich’s transfer to Germany. There are ten days for this.” Liebich is then handed over to the German judiciary at the Czech border and taken to the women’s prison in Chemnitz. The court in the Czech Republic initially did not give reasons for its decision, which was not made publicly. As press spokeswoman Eliška Duchková confirmed, Liebich should first be informed in writing.

Liebich was on the run for months

This is the end of a long-standing stalemate. Review: Liebich was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison in July 2023, then still as Sven. The right-wing extremist then requested to change his gender from male to female. Critics considered this to be pure provocation and abuse of the self-determination law.

On August 29, 2025, Liebich was scheduled to begin his sentence in the women’s prison in Chemnitz. But the neo-Nazi escaped, was only caught in the Czech Republic in April of this year and has been imprisoned ever since Pilsen-Bory Prison. The public prosecutor’s office in Halle (Saxony-Anhalt) requested the extradition, but Liebich resisted.

Right-wing extremist fears for his life

In court in Pilsen in mid-May, Marla Svenja Liebich (55) expressed her fear of being sent to a men’s prison in Germany. The neo-Nazi even feared for his life. After hours of negotiation the decision was initially postponed. He also appeared at this hearing with red-painted nails, lipstick and a leopard top. It was of no use to Liebich. The Czech Republic decided to extradite him.

Liebich filed a complaint, which has now been rejected. At least theoretically, the right-wing extremist could now appeal to the Constitutional Court in Brno, but this is considered unlikely.
