CENTCOM: fifth wave of strikes on military targets in Iran completed

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that it had completed another wave of strikes against Iran. The operation lasted about five hours.

US forces attacked military targets in Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarek, Abu Musa Island and Bandar Abbas.

According to CENTCOM, Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and unmanned systems, and naval assets were hit by precision-guided munitions. The purpose of the operation is to further weaken Iran’s ability to attack merchant ships.

The command reported that more than 50 thousand American troops are currently stationed in the Middle East.
