Tom Cruise meets Coldplay meets Justin Bieber: mega closing party for the XXL World Cup

US actor Tom Cruise will make a guest appearance. Emmy, Grammy and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson will sing the US national anthem, according to FIFA, the world soccer governing body. The focus of the one and a half hour show is a review of the World Cup, which has been running since June 11th in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

The Nigerian musician Burna Boy will also perform together with the Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the band Coldplay and a New York elementary school choir, said the aid movement Global Citizen.

Global Citizen produces the show together with FIFA and also wants to raise money to support the education of children worldwide. It was announced a few weeks ago that pop icons Shakira and Madonna as well as the South Korean band BTS would be featured in the eleven-minute halftime show.
