Israel approves that Intelligence joins the Police “to eradicate crime in Arab society”

The Government of Israel has given its approval for Intelligence service units to join the tasks of the Police in internal security “to eradicate crime in Arab society”, according to the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

“We have approved in the Government an unprecedented national initiative to eradicate crime in Arab society: the Shin Bet will join the fight together with the Israel Police, with an investment of approximately 500 million shekels (about 145 million euros),” he reported.

In this sense, he has reported that “a specialized unit will be created to combat smuggling and arms trafficking”, while within the framework of the Police a special national unit will be established that “will act against criminal organizations using advanced technologies and means.”

“We will not accept a reality of murder, violence, extortion and criminal terrorism on the streets of Israel. We will mobilize the best capabilities of the State to reach the leaders of criminal organizations, dry up their sources of power and money, dismantle their infrastructure and return personal security to the citizens of Israel,” he indicated.

“We will act with determination, strength and without concessions, until we return security to all citizens of Israel, without exception,” stressed the Israeli leader.
