“Yerevan “Ararat” cognac-wine-vodka combine” was handed over to the management and maintenance of the state

Earlier, in October 2023, the General Prosecutor’s Office submitted a claim to the Anti-Corruption Court: against Gagik Tsarukyan and his related persons, regarding the claim for the confiscation of property of illegal origin.

The prosecution reminds that with the claim for confiscation of property of illegal origin, it demands from Gagik Tsarukyan and his related persons to confiscate dozens of immovable and movable properties, participation in legal entities, the total monetary demand is 105 billion 865 million 865 thousand drams.

The General Prosecutor’s Office also announced earlier that the management and maintenance of the Ararat cement factory belonging to PAP leader, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan was transferred to the executive. According to the prosecutor’s office, the Anti-Corruption Committee made such a decision within the framework of the confiscation of illegally obtained property. While Gagik Tsarukyan was conducting a campaign announcing the change of power, Prime Minister Pashinyan directly threatened that Tsarukyan would be deprived of his freedom and his abilities.

Gagik Tsarukyan has been detained since July 7, and the large companies belonging to his family have been confiscated. Tsarukyan is charged with particularly large-scale fraud and money laundering.
