Bagai denied Trump: “We are not and do not intend to negotiate with the United States”

Spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Esmail Baghai said that official Tehran is not currently negotiating with the United States and is fully focused on dialogue with Oman on ensuring security in the Strait of Hormuz.

“As long as the US continues its violations, we should not expect the situation in the Strait of Hormuz to change. Even an agreement with Oman will not be enough to ensure the opening of the strait to shipping,” he said.

The official stressed that Iran does not intend to host an American delegation in the coming days or send its delegation to negotiations with the United States. Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that negotiations with Iran would resume on August 3
