“Israeli genocidal forces stole the Colombian elections, and the new president is not legitimate according to Colombia’s popular vote. They are taking us back to the viceroyalty and the colony, and we, as the Colombian people, swear before the sword of Bolívar, as a fundamental principle of the Republic of Colombia, to popular sovereignty, that is, to the sovereignty of the people to determine the rights, freedoms and duties of Colombian citizens,” the leftist leader wrote on social media.

Petro attributed the alleged fraud to the financing of drug trafficking and the use of intelligence resources from the Israeli private sector.

“Colombia chose Iván Cepeda as its president in the real votes cast at the polls, the Israeli software that broke Colombia’s national sovereignty replaced it in a large percentage, which could reach 1,800,000 votes manipulated algorithmically from pre-established software between private companies that dominate the electoral count in the country”, he added.

In another publication over the weekend, the Colombian president accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being responsible for the migration crisis in the Spanish city of Ceuta, where tens of thousands of people entered from Morocco last week. “They pay poor people to risk their lives to get to Spain, and poor Muslims should be able to get the right to self-determination in a real democracy in Morocco,” Petro declared.

De la Espriella says left-wing civil disobedience seeks to destabilize democracy

Right-wing Abelardo de la Espriella, elected president of Colombia, stated this Sunday that civil disobedience against his government, announced by the left-wing opposition and Petro, seeks to destabilize democracy from August 7, when he takes office.

“They are preparing to destabilize the country. I am the president of all Colombians and I will enforce, with all the force of the Constitution and the law, what the Colombian people decided, which was to elect me”, declared De la Espriella in a statement on his social networks five days before his inauguration.

Senator Iván Cepeda, defeated by a small margin by De la Espriella in the second round of elections on June 21, announced yesterday that the opposition to the elected president will hold demonstrations in Bogotá, Cali and Barranquilla on August 7.

“There will not be mobilizations or marches, they will be concentrations in Barranquilla (…) in the city of Cali we will be at the monument in Puerto Resistencia (…) and in the city of Bogotá at the Capitol”, said Cepeda, from the Historic Pact, Petro’s party, which does not recognize De la Espriella’s election.

Cepeda said in a statement in Cartagena that these “peaceful” gatherings were part of “civil disobedience” actions against the elected president.
