Secretary of the National Security and Foreign Affairs Commission of the Iranian Parliament Behnam Saeedi said that Israeli ships and Israeli cargo will never again be able to cross the Strait of Hormuz. “Cargo can also be on ships flying the flags of other countries,” he emphasized.

According to him, American commercial ships and cargo will not be able to pass through the strait while Iran classifies the United States as a hostile power. “Warships of the United States and its allied countries will not be allowed to pass through Hormuz under any circumstances,” he added.

Saeedi said the strait will be opened only after the US abandons its language of threats and ends its naval blockade of Iran, lifts sanctions, pays compensation and unfreezes Iranian accounts. “Our negotiations with Oman are discussing a temporary, rather than permanent, passage order,” he said.
