“We announce that the motion to apply arrest as a preventive measure against R.K., who is accused of money laundering, abuse of official powers and accepting bribes in particularly large amounts, as well as the accused R.K., have been submitted to the Anti-Corruption Court,” Marina Ohanjanyan, press secretary of the Anti-Corruption Committee, reports.

The lawyers from the anti-corruption committee have not yet been notified which judge has been assigned the case.

The former president, who is accused of particularly large-scale bribery and money laundering articles, was in the hospital since yesterday. The second president was taken to the Anti-Corruption Court right from the hospital. Kocharyan’s condition worsened yesterday at the Anti-Corruption Committee, and he was transferred to the “St. Grigor Lusavorich” hospital.

His son, Levon Kocharyan, informed that about two weeks ago, the second president was operated on, “heart stenting was performed, and the doctors themselves did not allow him to be taken to the court yesterday.”
