The plane of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “was almost hit by a drone when taking off from Moldova; “This is the reality you are experiencing,” Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store told Norwegian public broadcaster NRK.
Zelensky traveled to Oslo along with other world leaders to attend the state funeral of King Harald V of Norway, which took place today.
He did not provide further details about the incident.
Zelensky arrived in Oslo on Tuesday evening, where he held talks with Store, Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg and Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide about Norwegian military aid, including support for air defense, and civil assistance.
On Wednesday, Zelensky joined numerous foreign dignitaries attending the funeral of King Harald, died on August 28 at age 89.
Zelensky left Norway after the funeral and headed to Canada for talks with that country’s leaders, Store told NRK.
