Jordan attacked in Syria and killed civilians – now it will participate in the investigation

According to the Syrian newspaper “A-Torah”, A-Shibani clarified that the state is responsible for claiming the rights of the victims, and that the authorities have been handling the case since its first moments, under the direction of the president and the monitoring of the competent authorities. According to him, the joint committee will work to restore the rights to their owners, to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to take the necessary steps.

The visit takes place after, according to the Syrian authorities, seven civilians were killed in the bombings, including three children, a woman and three men. The Al Jazeera network also reported three wounded. The attacks provoked a sharp protest in Damascus and led to a crisis between the two countries, alongside political contacts designed to contain its consequences.

According to the “Dara’a 24” website, A-Safadi claimed that the attacks were based on information from the field and were intended to thwart certain threats and attacks that were about to be carried out against Jordan. The ministers agreed to establish a joint security committee to examine the details of the operation and its results, and to improve operational and intelligence coordination to deal with terrorist threats and protect civilians.
