Israel accuses Iran of the attack suffered by an oil tanker in the Persian Gulf

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, this Sunday blamed Iran for the attack suffered on February 10 by an oil tanker related to Israel in the Persian Gulf.

“Last week Iran again attacked an oil tanker in the Persian Gulf, damaging the international freedom of navigation,” Netanyahu declared after the Council of Ministers this Sunday, reports the newspaper ‘Yedioth Aharonoth’.

On Saturday, the owner of the Liberian-flagged vessel ‘Campo Square’ reported slight damage caused by a flying object when the vessel was sailing through the waters of the Persian Gulf.

The vessel is related to Zodiac Maritime, a company controlled by Israeli shipping magnate Eyal Ofer.
