На севере Перу произошло землетрясение магнитудой 6,5

An earthquake of magnitude 6.5 hit northern Peru. According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the epicenter was located 57 km from the city of Barranca. The source lay at a depth of 100 km.

It should be noted that, according to the data of the Institute in Germany (GFZ), the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.3 and the source was at a depth of 10 km.

The earthquake occurred at 10:58 local time.

Seismologists estimate that an earthquake of this magnitude could have caused moderate damage. But at the moment there is no data on casualties or damage.
