The tractors return to block Brussels

The first of the three hundred tractors expected today in the European Quarter in Brussels arrived during the night, in conjunction with the Agriculture and Fisheries Council. The demonstration – the umpteenth in the city since February 1st – has already blocked several roads and led to the suspension of some sections of public transport.

Protesters also gathered in Place du Luxembourg where they set fires. The tractors are instead lined up in Rue de la Loi, the avenue that divides the headquarters of the European Commission from those of the EU Council.
