Terror in a Sydney shopping mall: “Several people stabbed”

Attack in a shopping center today in Sydney. A man stabbed several people in the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping center in Australia. There would be at least six deaths, while several people were reportedly injured in the attack by a man who was killed by the police. According to Channel 9, there is also a newborn in hospital with stab wounds. The Sydney Morning Herald writes this, citing its sources, while the police operation inside the shopping center is still underway. Hundreds of people who were inside the shopping center were evacuated.

New South Wales Premier: “Shocked by shopping center attack”

Acting Australian Premier of New South Wales Penny Sharpe said “shocked” by the attack. “My thoughts and those of the NSW Government are at this time with the victims, their families and first responders, as well as those who may have witnessed these horrific events,” she said in a statement. “I receive regular updates from NSW Police and emergency services, as well as the Department of the Premier.”
