Biden signs for military aid to Kiev: “It will resume in the next few hours"

US President Joe Biden has signed the aid package providing military assistance to Ukraine, after months of negotiations and debates. The measure, approved by the Senate last night and worth a total of $95 billion, includes nearly $61 billion in aid to Ukraine, $26 billion for Israel and $8 billion for the Indo-Pacific.

Biden signed legislation authorizing military aid crucial to Ukraine’s defense from a Russian offensive, saying Washington would begin sending the first tranche to Kiev within hours. “I just signed into law the national security package passed by the House of Representatives this weekend, and yesterday by the Senate,” she said, adding that she will make sure “that shipments begin immediately, in the next few hours.” The US president urged Israel to allow Palestinians access to humanitarian aid “without delay”.
