Slovenians made an unusual request due to the large number of tourists going to Croatia in May: This is the first time

Slovenian state highway management company LESSON on Friday, she made an unusual public appeal to the Slovenian Ministry of Public Administration, requesting that public administration employees work from home as much as possible during May. In this way, they would try to relieve the traffic during the most critical days when the word about the tires on the roads. It is the first such appeal by DARS.

DARS has warned the ministry that during the May Day holidays, traffic jams will begin on Slovenian roads. Tourists will join daily commuters to their workplaces, and this is precisely the reason for the appeal, they say. They added that it is the least traffic area of ​​Ljubljana. Based on past experiences, they are convinced that working from home in the public administration would contribute to a better flow of traffic in the capital.

The Ministry received a series of dates when the condition of the roads will be the worst. Slovenian N1 states that according to unofficial information, the ministry does not plan to obey DARS and that such a decision should be made by the Government.

– During the May Day holidays, we expect increased traffic from the interior of Slovenia to tourist centers in Slovenian Istria, as well as further to Croatia. The same, but in the opposite direction, increased traffic, including traffic jams, we can expect ​​ at the end of the May Day holidays towards the interior of Slovenia – said the Koper Police Department.
