Citizens of Tajikistan are advised not to travel to Russia – Foreign countries

The reason for the ban is Russia’s actions in connection with the fire in the Moscow concert hall.

Tajik foreign minister Sirodjidin Muhriddin urged the country’s citizens not to travel to Russia temporarily, reports news agency Reuters. According to Muhriddin, traveling should be avoided if there is no absolutely compelling reason to do so.

The reason for the ban is Russia’s actions related to the fire in the Moscow concert hall. Russia has arrested several people in connection with the incident, whom it claims are from Tajikistan, Reuters reports.

In March, Tajikistan arrested nine people suspected of having connections to the case, Reuters reports.

Over 130 people died when attackers opened fire at a Moscow concert hall in March. The jihadist organization Isis claimed responsibility for the attack. The actual attack was apparently carried out by the Central Asian branch of the terrorist organization Isis-K.

Several terrorist suspects were reported to be Citizens of Tajikistan.
