Riots break out near the Israeli hotel in Athens

In Athens, riots broke out near the Israeli-owned Brown Hotel on the evening of May 7. Several dozen pro-Palestinian demonstrators not only chanted anti-Israeli slogans, but also tried to cause damage to hotel property.

Kan-11 TV channel correspondent Itay Blumenthal reported with reference to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs that local police intervened and the situation in and around the department was brought under control.
