In the attack on Kharkiv, two people were injured and a building was destroyed

The Air Force announced on the Telegram messaging application that Russia had also launched two anti-aircraft guided missiles. The spokesman of the Ukrainian Air Force, Ilya Jevlash, said in a television broadcast that the Russian missiles were most likely aimed at the city of Kharkiv in the northeast of the country. Kharkiv Region Governor Oleh Sinehubov said three residential houses were set on fire and dozens were damaged as a result of the Russian attack, which he said targeted both infrastructure and residential areas.

In the photos that Sinehubov published on Telegram, one can see large flames from residential buildings.

Two people, including an 11-year-old child, were wounded in the attack and are receiving medical treatment, Sinehubov said on the Telegram messaging app.

Reuters has not yet independently verified this news.

Moscow denies targeting civilians in these “legitimate attacks on Ukraine’s military, energy and transport infrastructure”.
