The artistic director of the Higher School of Performing Arts in Moscow, Konstantin Raikin, was fired from this educational institution. According to “Moskovsky Komsomolets”, the rector of the school, Anatoly Polyankin, signed the corresponding decree.
The actor and director has been the artistic director of the school since its very foundation. HSSI was often called the “Theatrical School of Konstantin Raikin”. This reflects the site, whose address is www.raikin-school.com.
The decision of the rector was not coordinated with either the teachers or the students. The students appealed to Roskomnadzor with an appeal “to prevent the liquidation of a unique educational institution.” They call Raikin’s dismissal unacceptable.
It should be noted that on February 26, Raikin and 16 other cultural figures called on all parties to the conflict to stop hostilities in Ukraine and sit down at the negotiating table in the name of saving human lives.
