A large police operation caused a stir in Potsdam’s city center on Saturday evening. Residents reported a massive police presence, and at times a helicopter was hovering over the city center. Several patrol cars were stationed on streets such as Behlertstrasse.
Late in the evening, when asked by the Potsdamer Neuesten Nachrichten (PNN), the Potsdam police did not provide any information about the incident. The police are in the middle of their investigations and will announce details when they have more reliable information. The police did not want to comment on reports from residents that there had been a shooting near the Netto supermarket on Brandenburger Strasse. This is normal for ongoing operations.
