Palma de Mallorca – One minute of complete silence – that’s what you get at Ballermann otherwise never. The goosebump-inducing scene took place on Saturday evening around 7 p.m. at Ballermann 1, not far from the party temple Mega Park.
Where people would normally be shouting, there was silence out of respect for the victims. The surrounding restaurants had turned off their music. People hugged each other, mourning – tears flowed. Some of the relatives collapsed in the crowd. The pain was so great.
Great sympathy at Ballermann
Hundreds had gathered around the site of the accident, the “Medusa Bar”, and mourned the four dead in the terrible accident – including two German women (20, 30). The popular street was closed by the police cordoned off.
Friends had the Funeral service organized. Hundreds of people say goodbye, lay flowers, light candles.
Tears also among “Goodbye Germany” stars
Among the mourners was the German emigrant couple Caro and Andreas Robens (“Goodbye Deutschland“) – they repeatedly wipe away their tears.
Also touching is the Firefighters – it gets emotional when the fire chief puts a boot down between candles and a sea of flowers. Another fireman puts roses in his shoes. These are very moving moments.
