Tehran urges Moscow and Baku to respect Iran’s state borders. Ali Nikzad, the deputy speaker of the Iranian Parliament, stated this, referring to the request of the authorities of Azerbaijan and Turkey regarding the “Zangezuri Corridor” and Moscow’s support for it.
A high-ranking Iranian official claimed that the strategic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding borders is fixed and based on national interests.
According to Iranian sources, Nikzad also added that he emphasized at a recent meeting with colleagues in Baku. – “We are against the change of borders, my advice to Russia and Azerbaijan is to respect the borders.”
